P420
Japan will be the power that tries to create an East Asian technate or sphere of influence, not China.
What Jiang said
“In East Asia, it's not China that wants to create a technate, it's Japan.”
Analysis
Jiang says Japan historically has the concept of a co-prosperity sphere and is a cohesive, homogeneous society, while China is a plantation economy interested only in internal stability.
