P396
The US will impose a national draft functioning as a federal jobs/works program, modeled on FDR's New Deal, to employ and control young people amid the coming economic collapse.

What Jiang said

“the national draft is just a way to control young people”

Analysis

As AI-driven economic collapse causes a 'white collar apocalypse' and mass layoffs over the next 5-10 years, Jiang predicts a draft explicitly compared to Depression-era programs like the Tennessee Valley Authority, aimed at controlling restless youth rather than purely military mobilization.
